World Water Academy was present at the #cocreateMYCITY event, held at the Elangeni Hotel in Durban and saw young professionals pitch their solutions for water challenges to a jury of experts, and the presentation of a prize to the top group of professionals. These innovative solutions and the inclusion of youth in the water sector provide hope for a more sustainable, inclusive and secure water future for South Africa, and specifically the City of eThekwini.

In June, World Water Academy delivered a training on wastewater treatment at Ethekwini Municipality Water And Sanitation. In total, 22 participants from Ethekwini Municipality took part in the training. Participants were highly motivated and our expert Helle van der Roest was impressed with their eagerness to learn and to share knowledge and experiences with each other.
